Stevens Pass Backcountry

About 80 miles east of Seattle, Washington you will find Stevens Pass at the border of King County and Chelan County. Base area elevation is 4,061′ and top elevation at Cowboy Mountain is 5,845′. They average over 400″ of snow each year and have 1,125 acres of skiable terrain. Some call it the Aspen of the Cascades.

Here’s a cool POV snowboarding video from the backcountry of Stevens Pass. It will give you an idea of what type of conditions/trails/bowls you can expect when riding in the Cascades. Video by Matthew Wainhouse on Vimeo.
