National Geographic Traveler put out a list of their Top 10 Winter Towns. I’m not sure I agree with all their choices … I have nothing against Green Bay and Minneapolis (they’re great football towns), but winter sports like ice fishing don’t really appeal to the masses. I might add Stowe, Vermont and Aspen, Colorado to the list.
1. New York City
2. Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota
3. Lake Placid, New York
4. Green Bay, Wisconsin
5. Granada, Spain
6. Boston, Massachusetts
7. Dortmund, Germany
8. West Yellowstone, Montana
9. Boulder, Colorado
10. Washington, D.C.
What are your thoughts on the list? What cities are missing?
