She might be the best female tennis player of all-time, but let’s see how she does at something a little more extreme. Martina Navratilova plans to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, to raise money for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. She’s climbing for a great cause and we wish her luck… it will be awesome if she can reach the summit.
Mt. Kilimanjaro is 19,341 ft in elevation, something that a sea level citizen (like myself) might have a hard time adjusting too. But, Navratilova lives in Aspen so the altitude won’t be a total shock to her. Depending on the route she takes, the trek will last anywhere from 5-8 days.
